When planing new software systems, today's companies normally face one
or more of the following problems:
- You want a system, that optimally integrates in your environment.
- You want to expand existing systems with new functionality.
- You have a heterogeneous IT environment with different platforms.
- You want a system, that your staff can use everywhere.
- You already have a database, which you want to keep using.
- Security of your critical data and communication paths is a
fundamental requirement.
- Your staff may use mobile devices, like notebooks and PDAs,
where the software should run on.
- The deploment of new software releases should be as easy as
possible, ideally centralized.
- You would like a web solutions as well as a clssical client
software.

We have designed the powerful and flexible framework SFR Building Blocks
for individual software systems, which covers all the above problems.
You can see the architecture of SFR Building Blocks below:
The systems implemented with SFR Building Blocks can be integrated in
other existing systems, that provide an open interface. The systems can work together without
interferences in functionality or usability.
When designing SFR Building Blocks we focussed on easy implementation
of the system in our customers environment and the distributed usage szenarios, like
sales force and marketing.
A critical factor regarding these szenarios is the deployment of new system releases, which
we have covered, too. Our deployment concept will allow centralized administration.

The use of standardized communication protocols (HTTP/HTTPS) guarantees a
straight and secure running system in your network and the internet.
XML is used as data communication format.
Using data compression (GZIP) expands the range of application to
bandwidth-critical szenarios, like modem communication.
System requirements for SFR Building Blocks are
a web server (Apache), PHP and a (seperate) database server.

All your benefits:
- Easy integration of SFR Building Blocks systems in other existing systems.
- Usage of standardized protocol and data formats (HTTP/HTTPS, XML).
- Offline usage of the clients is possible with replication.
- Easy centralized deployment concept for new software releases.
- Low administration effort.
- Low bandwidth usage possible.
- Client software can be implemented in popular programming languages (e.g. Delphi, Java, C#) or as a server application (PHP).
- Supports all popular database systems (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL, MySQL, DB2, Access).
